A bicycle journey to gangaikonda cholapuram from jayankondam


A few days ago , we were going to gangai konda cholapuram. in that journey to drive the bicycle upto 17kms with my friends . The various expeditions in that day , starting stage we have some problems after few minutes we wera move to home at ragu kalam then going on shortcut root at that time I was met school friends to drive in trek
in between towards we were reached in azhaghar temple that temple contains the one &only biggest elephant sculpture statue in the north and south asians and take that place we were rest few minutes The elephant sculpture statue is an architectural and engineering marvel in nowadays that statue was



established since 2012 euery years our village people to visit that temple and some logical planning in before to visit that temple after that we were pray to the god then only to start works . every year our village peoples visit that temple unfortunately we were missed that chance in this year but our friends only go there.in the case we had a troubles our lunch all of them hungry , in that stage met neighbour village friend s provide the comfort food (at the time thanks to god )after we r moved to gangai konda cholapuram to drive cycle at 1pm to reached that temple that temple present in the small village Rajendra-I, a great warrior, assisted his father in numerous expeditions to elevate the Cholas to supreme power. its emience sivan temple that Rajendra build in 10 temples around north side Chola rulers were active patrons of the arts.

                        The city of Gangaikondacholapuram was probably founded by Rajendra before his 17th year. they constructed enormous stone with local inhabitant its temple complexes decorated inside and out with painted sculptures The outer fortification built of burnt bricks, It consisted of two walls, the intervening space being filled with sand. The bricks are fairly large in size and are made of well-burnt clay A number of small tanks and ponds mentioned in inscriptions and a number of wells, supplied drinking water to the residents. Systematic brick robbing by the local inhabitants has reduced this structure to its current state.some of artist to depicted design is very well to spent more times in temple its one of the best shirne in tamilnadu after 4pm all of them towards the journey to home never didn’t forget the wonderful moments I am always thinkings when that day comes in the next year I feel very much happy that day …….,,, thanks to god..
